Jacob Jan Boerma had his sights set on being a chef as a young boy. Before opening his own restaurant De Leest in 2002, he worked in a number of renowned Dutch establishments. Within half a year of being his own boss, he was awarded a Michelin star and then went on to receive a further two stars in 2006 and 2013 respectively. His style has been described as elegant and intense and he loves to add an element of surprise into all his cooking. Enjoy learning from one of the Dutch masters.
